Long time, no art! XD Yes, it HAS been a long, long time. It's been a crazy year, but I'm finally getting back to drawing again.
Let me know what you've been up to! I'm also on Myspace now (eww, I know!) if anyone wants to hit me up. [link]
It was easy to recognize the maiden; Crimson spilled from the rippling folds of her dress like a battlefields slaughter descending over a waterfall. The vibrant color had been matched by a renowned tailor to accent the autumn roses she wrapped in her hair.
This attracted the Creatures, and drew them up from the endless clouds.
She didnt remember how she found her way into this dream-like Sanctuary. Shed wandered until she was ensnared in the sky, looking for the Second Miracle. Shed already found the First, a lantern made from an arcane, whispering skull stolen from Valley of the Dead that let her speak to the Fallen and never burned out, even in the darkest abyss.
Lost in the endless Twilight, she had an epiphany.
She would wait for the butterflies to drift into her outstretched hands, holding them in a quiet embrace. With her hair swept in the breeze, shed lower her head, whispering her concerns to the small creatures until the words dissolved the vibrant, delicate wings and her message was etched into their essence. After releasing them, she watched their departure vigilantly, waiting for a response.
Based on a fairy tale I'd hear as a child, for a going-away gift for Jackie. I only remember a few miracles.. one was a cloak that let her withstand any temperature, and one was a ring that could turn into any weapon she asked it to. I think she needed to unlock one Miracle to use it to find another. I cant remember exactly how it worked
Edit: This isn't a companion to the Bleeder and the Butterfly.. the companion piece to that WILL be coming soon, though.
I saw this at saboten con and I was so close to buying the picture! I ran out of money though before I came back to reconsider it, I kinda regret that because I really liked this picture
